A splendid little gathering of Pilgrim's timeless and beloved stories of the people and animals at the Smiles' Blackberry Farm. Originally published in Great Britain by The Brockhampton Press, David McKay published six titles for the American market in 1954-5 of which are present in this collection.These titles were bound in white-titled green cloth. Subsequent titles were published shortly thereafter, this time bound in white-titled red cloth.Although often reprinted, reproductions were never quite able to replicate the chromatic brilliance of the First Edition's charming and evocative illustrations. Books are in Near Fine to Fine condition, bright and, with the exception of 1 issue that presents a patch of foxing to front endsheet, exceptionally clean and tight. One Dustwrapper presents short tape repair to rear of front panel, else Dustwrappers are generally Very Good and crisp with usual minor scattered soiling, sunning, chipping,etc. throughout the collection.
